Hennesans is a passion project I decided to do while being stuck on a tube (it extended beyond that tube journey. That would be one long commute if that was the case). I’ve always been a massive typography nerd, and have always critiqued typefaces and fonts but never really appreciated the amount of work that goes into it. I’ve been jealous of people that have dipped their toes into typography and especially those who have contributed to the array of fonts out there and am grateful to be able to have said I’ve now done it.

I wanted to create a ‘workhorse’ typeface, something that was bland enough to be used for body copy but was unique and had beauty to it. I kept saying the words “vanilla with a hint of spice” and in a way that sums me up as a person, as well as my typeface.
